Daniel knows what it's like to be close to the pinnacle. His basketball team made it to the championship game. And lost.
"I wanted to touch a trophy and feel like a champion," he said. "That's what I want."
Daniel doesn't plan on giving up that dream. After many years in foster care, he has learned perseverance. "I'm gettin' me one," he said of a championship.
Someday, he would like to play in the National Basketball Association. If that doesn't happen, maybe he'll become a math teacher, he said.
Daniel considers himself athletic, funny, smart and friendly. "I got like a thousand friends," he said. "They show mad love to me. Yeah. That's what friends are for."
His dream family would be loving and kind and happy, he said. Also, he wouldn't mind if the family had a big house with a big television and all the best video games.
Someday, he said he would like to go to Hawaii, maybe even dance on the beach. "The ocean is beautiful down there," he said.
Daniel needs a well structured home with a high degree of supervision, preferably with a strong, positive male presence.
