Bio

Docquez was not interested in participating in a recent talent show. But then he heard they were giving out prizes, and he noticed that among the prizes was a basketball. That got him off his chair and up to the front of the room, where he broke into the gyrations of the Wu-Tang, a dance popular around Philadelphia.

Docquez won himself the basketball. It was a perfect prize for a young man whose love of sports has provided some escape from the difficulties of his life. He has been in about five different foster homes and it's been a year since he has seen any of his four siblings.

Docquez is intelligent, competitive, and athletic. Someday, Docquez would like to be a car salesman. He likes cars. That's the first thing he would buy if he had $1 million. Then he would buy a lot of video games.

"You know, a million dollars isn't really a lot of money," he says.

Docquez considers himself helpful and friendly. He said he doesn't mind doing his household chores - sweeping the floors and cleaning the bathroom.

He likes dogs and riding his bike. But mostly, he likes sports.

If he could go anywhere in the world, Docquez would go to Denver, so he could watch Allen Iverson and the Nuggets play in the NBA. But he's not interested in going to California: "They've got earthquakes there."
