Bio

Lottie is the kind of girl who breaks into giggles every time any one says anything even remotely funny. She is all smiles and understanding.

She reads a lot and is writing an autobiography. She describes herself as funny, nice, helpful and giving. It's obvious she has all four of these qualities. She likes hip hop and R&B music.

At school, she prefers reading and writing - though honestly, she goes to school because she has to.

What she really wants to do is help other foster children and has even thought she might want to be a child protective worker or an adoption worker in the future.

"If I had a million dollars, I would give it to other kids," she says matter-of-factly. "Sometimes, kids only have other kids to turn to."

Lottie's image of an ideal family is one who embraces their children unconditionally, who "loves you (and keeps you) no matter what you do."

If she had three wishes, she would send her foster mother on a trip to show her how grateful she is; buy a car; and give $1,000 to other foster children.

Her role model? Probably her foster mother - someone she says has cared for her without ever making her feel like she owed her back.

"That's the kind of mother I want to be," Lottie said. "I've lived in so many homes, I can't remember how many. I want it to be different for my kids."

Lottie recognizes that her good attitude has taken her far in life. It has kept her grounded and realistic. That's why she knows that within five years, her goal to attend college to be a videographer or a child protective worker is attainable.

"I am going to do it," Lottie said, smiling. "I'm just gonna."
