Eric is pretty excited about the future. He wants a career working with animals. He is also technologically skilled and is always the one to figure out computer glitches or how something works.
The key to success is pretty simple, Eric said, a sweet half-smile briefly crossing his face.
“Life is like a test you can pass or fail,” he said softly. “The way to pass is to stay in school and go to college.”
Eric readily admits, “Yeah, I still watch cartoons.” SpongeBob SquarePants made his list of favorites. He also enjoys listening to music and writing poetry.
Eric has lived a lot of places during the 13 years he’s spent in foster care. In his signature, straight-forward style, he describes family as “people who are there whenever you need them.”
Eric is a polite, friendly boy who interacts well with both peers and adults. He is conscious of his appearance and prides himself on his neatness. With the help of tutoring, he has developed an insatiable interest in reading.
