Bio
After a dozen years in the foster system, Quashone says has lived in at least five foster homes, three group homes and came close to getting adopted at least once.
This confident teenager has one request of any family looking to adopt him.
"I don’t want anybody to judge me by what was written down. I want them to see me in person," he says.
In person, Quashone is a smart young man, who laughs easily and has big plans for himself.
He describes himself as "fun, loving, caring, mature...and cool."
Quashone enjoys math. Outside school, he loves playing wide receiver and safety in football and shooting guard in basketball. He enjoys all types of music, the television shows "South Park" and "Rob and Big" and any comedy starring the Wayans brothers.
If his dreams of playing in the NFL don’t come true, he would like to get college degree in business, marketing or human resources. And the future businessman already has his first project planned — an alcohol-free teen night club where young people can have fun and stay out of trouble.
He wants to one day reunite with his brothers and sisters.
He is realistic about the meaning of family. A family, he says, is whatever you make it.
"I don’t really have an ideal family, as long as they just give me my space when I need it and have trust," he says.
