Bio
Lynda has found a good way to deal with her feelings. "I draw my emotions," she said. "Whatever I'm feeling, that's what I draw." It's better than therapy, she says.
The 13-year-old has pursued other artistic outlets. For example, there was a piano at one of Lynda's foster homes. She asked someone to teach her and she learned to play some basic tunes, like "Mary Had a Little Lamb." She also likes to dance.
Sports and physical activities provide outlets for Lynda's energy.
Her main passion these days is fashion. She and the other girls at her group home put on fashion shows every now and then. Lynda says she has a creative take on fashion, sometimes putting together unconventional outfits.
Lynda said she has been in about four different foster homes. Someday, she would like to be adopted, to be part of a family.
"I'd like someone who can sit there and talk to you and listen to you," she said. "Someone who tries to understand you and help you with your problems."
Lynda needs to feel accepted and loved as she works to overcome many disappointments and losses in her life.
