Fatimah started drawing when she was very little. Now at 16, it's become her passion.
She likes to read good stories, write her own tales, and draw pictures to accompany them. She has nearly perfected depictions of clowns, people, houses, dogs and cats.
"I feel happy when I'm drawing," Fatimah said.
Fatimah describes herself as a thoughtful, caring and helpful person who enjoys taking care of animals - particularly the dog her foster family has now.
She is very active and inquisitive, enjoys music, singing and being the center of attention. She is very detail oriented and has an excellent memory. She is achieving some academic success as a result of the special education services she receives.
She likes braiding different styles into her hair and likes watching the Discovery Channel, because it's educational.
She has been in five foster homes during the years she has been in foster care.
In five years, Fatimah sees herself heading off to college. Eventually, she hopes to open her own day care center. Fatimah has a big heart.
